The IP pre-diagnosis service is a proactive IP awareness activity targeted at SMEs with little or no experience in IP. The objective is to promote intellectual property as a tool for business development and underline the value of an IP policy for the company, by providing an analysis of the SME's IP status, forecasting competitive advantages generated by IP and drafting recommendations for action, and listing competencies required for their implementation. Following the initial 2008-2012 pilot project, training for staff of all interested NPOs (beginner level) is now provided.
