5 Aprile 2017
The first Online Services User Day of 2017 will take place in Munich on 5/6 April.
The User Day is aimed primarily at patent attorneys, support staff and IT staff responsible for the technical implementation of online filing.
Once again, you will have the opportunity to attend a combination of plenary presentations, practical PC workshops and various breakout sessions about the patent granting procedure.
Plenary sessions will include a customer testimonial on new online filing (CMS), an introduction to the EPO's new approach to filing based on XML as well as an update on the EPO's Early Certainty initiative, which has been extended to the examination and opposition procedures.
On request, practical sessions on the new online filing (CMS) will be offered at both entry level and intermediate level.
In addition, the programme will include hands-on sessions on the established online filing software.
It will also include a number of seminars on topics such as:
online services available via the Administration function - Mailbox, My Files and Online Fee Payment
formal requirements in the EP procedure and what they mean for online filing, with a closer look at the new generation of EPO online services, including web-form filing
opposition and appeal procedures before the EPO
Throughout the user day there will be plenty of opportunities to ask EPO experts and EPO account managers about technical and procedural matters.
We recommend that you register as soon as possible; places for the hands-on workshops in particular are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The closing date for registration is 17 March 2017.
